Dink’d Pickleball

Petersburg Shoppes is making a grand transformation and the residents along the Furys Ferry corridor will have some exciting new options for retail and entertainment! The 50,000 SF anchor space formerly occupied by Bi-Lo and Final Cut is being re-purposed and renovated into two exciting new uses: Dink’d Pickleball and Furys Ferry Hardware Store. The long-awaited announcement of the newest tenant addition will bring new excitement and life to the center.

Friends, now business partners Troy and Nancy Akers and Jason and Becky Kridner are excited to bring the CSRA’s first indoor pickleball center, Dink’d Pickleball, to the Petersburg Shoppes on Furys Ferry. Nancy said, “the Augusta area already has a thriving pickleball community and our group is thrilled to add this new addition.”

The Dink’d facility will have a total of 10 official PPA cushioned pickleball courts, 8 of which are championship sized providing opportunities for local, regional and national tournaments. A full proshop will carry the latest in pickleball equipment. “In addition to our proshop and professional courts, Dink’d will have viewing and lounge areas combined with food and beverage services that will cater not only to experienced pickleball players, but also to those new to the game or those just wanting a fun night out with family and friends. Players will be able to take lessons from certified professional coaches and rentable event space perfect for a multitude of events will be available. Construction is already underway and the opening date will be announced at a later time. The group plans expansion to multiple locations locally and regionally. Troy Akers says, “The CSRA hasn’t had anything like this before and we know this concept is something special and we can’t wait to welcome our CSRA neighbors very soon.”
