Meet Jaleah Roscoe. Jaleah is an Augusta native who remembers having a love of dance and performance since a young child. Her mother enrolled her in dance classes at the age of 3 and she’s been moving ever since. From Tap, Jazz, and Hip-Hop to Cheer, Gymnastics and Piano, Jaleah has always loved the stage. She danced in college at Georgia Southern University as a member of the Southern Explosion Dance Team and went on to dance for the Atlanta Hawks NBA team. Now it is time for Jaleah to use her skills to teach others the art of dance as a teacher, coach, and choreographer.
Jaleah has opened THE VAULT Dance Complex at 4332 Wheeler Road in Augusta. The dance studio is currently enrolling for the 2022-2023 season. The Vault Dance Complex provides on-site dance training in a fun and exciting atmosphere. They will offer classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, pom, tumbling, technique and conditioning and offer after school programs for students ages 2-18.
The marketing team with Jordan Trotter talked with Jaleah about her dance experiences. Here’s what she had to say…
What was your favorite part of dancing with the NBA?
Outside of the obvious, being able to do what I love by performing for thousands of people, I would say the friendships I have formed over the years. It is truly special to be a part of and I am extremely grateful for the experience.
Who is the most famous person you have met?
I had the opportunity to meet and dance with Ciara who is a world renown recording artist.
Why did you choose the location on Wheeler Road for Vault Dance Complex?
The location just felt perfect! The demographics of the location are extremely diverse and I feel like it’s accessible to Columbia and Richmond Counties which is very important to our business.
How was your experience with Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate?
Working with Tripp Wilson and Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate was amazing! Tripp made the process extremely seamless. The communication was great and he was helpful and patient throughout the process.
